A chill is back in the air, and there’s nothing like a dark beer to ring in the season. Fall marks the beginning of the season of stouts, black and brown ales, porters and dark ambers. These dark beers are the hearty soups of the beer world - tasty any time of year, but best in the colder seasons.

Dark Beer

If you’re looking to cozy up with a smooth stout, we’ve got them on tap at Blue Line! Stop in and try one of our favorites:

Sweet and Stout

The Sweet Mississippi, a milk stout from St. Cloud’s own Beaver Island Brewing, is available year-round. With its rich flavors and tinge of chocolate, it’s a natural fit for fall. Find it at our Sartell location.

Amber

Season of Ambers

A balanced taste with a kick of hops, the toasty, slightly sweet amber ale is a winner. Try Alaskan Brewing Co.’s Alaskan Amber at both locations or New Belgium Fat Tire Amber Ale at our South location.

Coffee with a Kick

Out of Duluth, Bent Paddle Brewing’s Cold Press Black Ale is infused with real cold press coffee. This black ale is smooth dark beer, with a lighter finish than a stout. It’s perfect for the coffee lover. Find it at both locations.

Don’t Be Fooled by the Coconut

Maui Brewing may be based in Hawaii, but the brewer’s Coconut Hiwa Porter is a dark ale fit for the change in seasons with backdrops of dark chocolate and coconut. Try this tasty twist on the classic porter at our South location.

Hallelujah

Beaver Island Brewing is excited about their new Fallelujah Pumpkin Ale. This brew is a tribute to the season, with delicious pumpkin spice flavor. Find it at our South location.

Whatever fall beer you’re feeling, Blue Line has the flavor. Stop into one of our two locations and check out our food menu to find the perfect pairing for your brew.
